Puppy Chic of the Heights started business March 2010 by Natalie Flores. It was her own experience 5 yrs ago that inspired her to pursue and attain her grooming license.
Taking her own dogs to large grooming salons, Natalie realized that her dogs would become stressed out going there. After picking them up it would be 2 days before they were themselves again. She wasn't sure if it was being in a kennel for a long period of time or the lack of personal love and attention. Whatever it was, her dogs did not like being there and Natalie felt their anxiety.
She started asking questions about products and grooming routine. She soon was placing an order to a major pet supply store and her dogs became her first customers. Family members began asking for her to groom their pets complaining about the same experiences they received from their groomers.
Word spread, her garage was filled with equipment and her large backyard area was filled with dogs that loved her. The operation was getting too big for her house.
Natalie received her grooming license and opened her shop in the Houston Heights. Everyone loves the chic little Heights shop. Puppy Chic strives to make all its customers friends and have them enjoy a laid back atmosphere. The best compliment natalie and her staff enjoy is when a pet owner arrives to pick up their pet and their dog doesn't want to leave from their relaxing state on a comfortable rug or sofa.
Every dog gets a free walk every time they visit the shop. Dogs also have full access to premium food and water all day. Restroom breaks are frequent. Every hour a group of dogs (according to play group size) get to play kennel free on a rotation time scale.
